About 9 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a report of a home invasion in the 4500 block of Douglas Avenue. Residents there told police that three black men entered the home through an unlocked door, "used force against the residents and demanded money," according to a information bulletin sent to Neighborhood Watch members.
The suspects had fled by the time police arrived. However, a search of the surrounding area with help from a police dog turned up loaded guns the robbers apparently discarded, the bulletin said.
