A home invasion was reported in Rice Lake Township on Monday.

A male victim was inside a residence when two white male assailants made a forced entry at 10:23 a.m.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged after police say he broke into a Brooklyn Park home and assaulted the 82-year-old homeowner.

Christopher Lamor Johnson, of Brooklyn Park, allegedly beat the homeowner so badly that he sustained serious injuries and had to be taken to North Memorial Medical Center so doctors could stop hemorrhaging in the victim’s head.

The two were arrested in Winona County shortly after a Yucatan Township resident reported being robbed of money at his home late Friday by two or possibly three men, one thought to be armed with a gun, according to the Houston County Sheriff’s Department.

Three white males went into the home and assaulted the two occupants. The victims were assaulted and suffered minor injuries (EMS was refused).

Victim’s stated that three W/M’s suspects and one W/F suspect broke into their house and told the victim’s that they had guns. The suspects then took several items from the home i.e.: laptop computer, cash cards, money etc. The suspects were last seen heading westbound in a light colored 4 door vehicle.
